Following the first London Marathon, five friends joined together as a running group. They ran together during 1980 - 1981, and then formally established the Ramsey Road Runners club in 1982. David Wallwork, the original chairman, and Adrian Graham were founder members of the club.

As a club we compete in the Frostbite League, Greenwheel Relay, Round Norfolk Relay and Hereward Relay.​
