Huntingdon Multi-Terrain 10k
The Huntingdon 10k team are part of Hullabaloo, a charitable group which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of local people in Cambridgeshire. The 10k and 3k runs are not only great races now becoming established in the local running calendar, but help to raise much needed funds for local charitable projects. This is the 4th year that the organisers have staged the event, and it has grown each year.

And a special mention must go out to Rosie Mead who ran the 1K race and came 3rd overall and 1st Girl with her father trailing in her wake. We all hope that the sudden niggle that stopped Libby from running with Rosie passes soon.

The route headed out towards Blackberry Farm before turning left to follow an old drove road. It then twists and turns along a farm track before reaching the metalled road where it turns right. The route then follows this road over the A14 and continues straight until it turns right onto the old drover road known as low road. This is followed all the way until it hits a tarmac road and then turns right. The road goes up and back over the A14 before turning right along a concreted road. The next turn is left for the long slow gradient up hill before turning right and after a short run turns left down hill to finish back at the race course.

The ‘Daddy of all Charity Races’ promised to be bigger and better than ever, also featuring a new 3k Fun Run open to anyone. This year the Huntingdon 10K started and finished at Alconbury Airfield, which was also on Father's Day. Chip timing was used and all finishers were presented with a well deserved goody bag and medal.
